About us

The beautiful combination of our instruments and our rich cultural backgrounds lead us to create sonic landscapes that traverses classical, world, and modern music.

Inner Duo was formed in 2020 as an ensemble within Codarts, music Conservatory in Rotterdam and it is made

by Helena Sousa Estévez, accordionist from Spain and

by Alejandra Rony, double bass player from Costa Rica.

We are both specialized in classical music and we are both interested in all music styles.

Through a thoughtfully curated repertoire, we offer a fresh perspective revealing intriguing interactions.

After playing “Introspective Concerts” and “Dagdromen Concerts” in venues such as De Spiegelzaal in the Concertgebouw,

the Rietveld Theater in Delft,

and participating in festivals like Muze van Zuid 2022,

Dutch International Tango Week 2023, and North Sea Round Town 2023, we are ready for our latest project: "Crossing Classical".

our last project “Crossing Classical” brings music from the well known composer Astor Piazzolla to life, alternating with the rich diversity of French and Spanish classical music, and further enriched by Dutch and Latin American rhythms.
